Leaderboard Rewards: Eligibility, Reset Periods and Conditions

Connect a reward to the finalized leaderboard rules

A leaderboard reward has at least four moving parts: the scoring formula, eligibility rules, event window and delivery condition. A visible rank during the event is provisional unless the terms say otherwise. Final positions may change after tie-breaking, reconciliation or disqualification review.

Record the reward separately from the rank. Some events award cash-equivalent balances, others use locked credits, tickets or promotional items. The label prize does not establish withdrawability.

Reward-condition checklist

• Who may enter, and is explicit opt-in required?
• Which actions create points and which are excluded?
• When does the event open and close in the stated timezone?
• How are ties resolved at the final cutoff?
• What conduct can cause score removal or disqualification?
• When and how is the leaderboard finalized?
• What form does each rank band receive?
• What claim, verification, expiry or wagering condition follows the award?

Provisional rank and final eligibility can diverge

An account may appear inside a winning band at the timer but fail an eligibility condition that is checked later, such as region, account verification or event opt-in. Conversely, a lower provisional rank can move upward after disqualification. The terms should explain both finalization and notice.

Save the event page, rules version and final table. A screenshot of rank alone does not show whether the account was eligible or what type of reward was attached.

Event evidence bundle

• Event title, identifier and rules URL.
• Opt-in confirmation and eligibility state.
• Scoring formula and eligible modes.
• Opening, cutoff and finalization timestamps.
• Provisional score/rank and final score/rank.
• Tie-break or disqualification notice, if relevant.
• Reward type, value unit and attached restrictions.
• Delivery date, expiry date and support case reference.

A rank is not a reward receipt

Treat the final eligibility decision and reward ledger as separate evidence from the live leaderboard. If terms do not define finalization or delivery, avoid using the visible rank to justify additional activity.
